back from my progressive edging practical and right now am sitting in front of my com. other than operating my rc, my mind is blank.

from the past few weeks, i have been borrowing books from either the school library or nbl for assignments. everything is like half-done. left those bit and pieces. dun really like stuffs to be left untouched for too long.

sch's subs dun seem to be cheaper :( and there are only 2 types of cookies left when i went there yesterday. i still prefer to eat cold cut tio after trying so many others. a bit random :D

weekends are gone due to my work. sometimes i really feel so tired that i dun wan weekends to come. people may tell me not to be so 'hardworking' but then they will not know and understand the dilemma in me. sigh :(

It's like finally that Wednesday is a off day for my class. coz due to the graduation ceremony for the graduated students and clinic is officially close for a week. HOO! woke up at 9 plus and seriously i think that my brain clock is getting used to early timing like 5.30am!

As for yesterday, a pretty long day in school and outside. lecture in the morning which i find that is still alright but when the workshop started, my mind was like totally shut down. i was closing my eyes when the man was doing the presentation. was having proclear multifocal contact lenses workshop. personally i enjoy using proclear products regardless whether is monthly or daily lenses. maybe those who are interested can book under me for cl fit. i love fitting proclear on my px. on a side note, proclear product is a bit expensive :(

initially i wanted to stay in school to complete my half-done assignments but then the computer at t4a is really in their crawling mode. went to nl instead and was reading through some eye condition books. perhaps my knowledge's for optometry study is still superficial.

dropped by jco.donut for coffee and donut. did some reading on 'eye care in developing nations' which i just borrowed from school library. is rather an interesting book about how eye care system is like in developing nations like Africa, India and Kenya. you will really feel like you are so blissed and fortunate to have an advanced eye care services in Singapore. back there, maybe you will have ur eyes checked after dunno how many years of ur life or even none in your entire life. there are also many pictures on malnutrition children whom ended up blind as well. so count ya blessings :)

Back from my wc clinic duty in the afternoon and am right here sitting in front of my lappy monitoring the progression of my rc. AND my parents think that both my sis and i are a bunch of idiot. the first thing that we do after we reached home is not to bath but monitor rc. OH! Anyway, there is nothing they can do to stop us from playing too.

had paed GE for my first slot and missed my 2nd px as my second px came too early and i wasn't done with my first px. i spend 1hour 10 min on my first px which i think considered an improvement as compared to the 2nd week. She is 9 years old and super hyper active. really have problems getting her attention. managed to got the hang of it when i did slit lamp on her. help her to adjust her spectacle too :)

ate mac at serangoon just to get the mac cup for my mum.

will be attending my cousin's wedding on the 7th of june and will be wearing my prom night's dress(see the pic). i think i really change a lot in this 2.5 years or so. still remember those fats appearing at my tummy when i wore that dress. guess i lost around 7kg in 2.5 years!

PS: i still have residual fats at my tummy. so more exercising coming up!

once again, it's Tuesday again. seriously, i am used to go home early on Tuesday and lazing around at home doing meaningless stuffs like rc-ing. Actually, today wanted to be janice's subject but realised that she has found one.

tml fyp meeting will be regarding the uage of the machine, COAS and Medmont. covered shoe and jeans. i disliked wearing them now as the weather is giving me a bad headache. GOSH! On the lighter note, hopefully the draft will be alright :)

will be celebrating boy's 21th birthday on thur. my outfit is restricted by clinic and have to be in formal during celebration :( on top of it, i have to skip my yoga. even if there is no celebration, still cant make it on time for it too. clinic ends at 6 plus and how to reach sk in 1 hour? track shoe and yoga mat? goodbye to my 5.50bucks!

it's holiday and for the whole of today, i did meaningless stuffs except the 3 pages of lit review which i think is considered quite okay. din manage to find a lot from those date base system and perhaps the machine is too new for research based. the rest of the time, i was mainly rc-ing and sleeping. i miss lot of sleeping time when school started 3 weeks back. seriously only sleeping can makes my day brighten up tho some may think that it's a waste of youth and time.

basically, this week was just as blunt as always. clinic was alright with Cindy's parents. my timing is still not in the process of improving :( and the checking of posterior eyes needs lot of improvement! do hope that i can have older px in my next clinic slot. dun mind failing for older px.

assignments were half done i guess. case study of back toric lenses is still hanging in the air. i still dun understand the way to get it or maybe i should just copy and paste mr.konda's notes. haha. the other one, we will be discussing soon next week and maybe i can do that one faster?

next fyp meeting is on this coming Wednesday. hope to complete my part by Wednesday too but i doubt so. i am sooo addicted to rc and most of the time i am monitoring it as if it's like stock market like that.

next week gonna be a wonderful and meaningful one! will update if i am not so lazy to do so. i did recollection in a collage form this afternoon as well and kinda proud of myself. was so elated when it actually work out. i look so noob when i was sec 2.

a simple day out on labour day. trained to dhoby and walked to orchard. did meaningless shopping and roaming ard. stopped by ice cream vendor and buy a cup of mango meat at 1.20bucks for a 2 cm in thickness.

basically what we ate yest were all sinful but awesome. we drank iced chocolate from glor.jean, gado gado from the harbour front hawker and lastly awfully chocolate ice cream.

trained down to city hall to meet jay and co. once again, we dine in at nyny after 2 years. the last time if i dun remember wrongly was in 07 when we were celebrating either felix's or jay's birthday. din order menu course due my overwhelming intake of junks food.

was having fun cam-whoring and teasing felix's hair. i love that natural photos of jay, bq and me :)

at the last part of the night, we went to jay's house for mj session. i did play for awhile and was losing from the very beginning. no luck for that day :/

more stuffs coming up and might not be blogging that often :(

last day of the week and everything seems to be on the right track now. feel more relief and comfortable :) quite used to the clinic rules and regulations and the management now as compared to the first week. seeing px, taking history, check and call for clinician and etc stuffs. i do learn new stuffs from the clinicians. plus every eye has their own characteristic.

more stuffs start to pile up and a hill is coming up is no time. fyp starting with literature review, more reading up on wavefront, assignments, case studies and more deadline to meet and at the same time,we do need to go for our regular lectures and clinic duties. it may just be the beginning of year 3 and our stress level is like shooting up fast and stead.

oh ya! i did bates method, convergence/divergence and saccades/versions in yoga just now.

clinic was a bit cui. did cl fit on cindy and for the first time i tried up to 8 lenses! i think almost every lens in the SRP program is not suitable for her. wanted to try biomedic but then it'snt includes in the list :\ though i fare pretty alright, i sort of have phobia in fitting lenses.

next px was jay. did a pretty time-based GE as my clinician is good. She will keep track of the time and inform me to speed up and etc stuffs :) Thank jay for waiting for me so long in school!

please get out of my sight! the sight of you makes me turn off.

was feeling exhausted though there was just one lesson in the morning today. dunno why this few days i will tend to get tired easily. issit because of the very free timetable that i have now? not so sure tho. just have a feeling that my life will be getting hectic in no time to come.

tml will be meeting dr zhu for fyp thingy and perhaps we are going to start doing soon. a 1 year project so need a lot of efforts in it. will be doing diurnal variation in tonography.

again, tml i will be having my second session of clinic. will be seeing my own px instead as i checked that i have no px for the 2 slots. book in cindy for my scl fit and jay for my nGE. hopefully i will get a good fit with my lens in mind for her. oasys lens :)

today was such a beautiful monday as i just bought my 18th pair of shoes. (actually there are more but just that i dun wear any longer) it may sound a bit ridiculous to own such big amount nevertheless, i still enjoy collecting shoes. Some are really to my liking that i seldom wear as i scared that i will spoil it. for eg, will be my white nice ribbon ballet pump that i bought since year 1, the sharp pointed black flat that i bought it last year and the most current brown shoe which cindy and jay have it too. this pair should add on to my collection :)

as usual, we went shopping after our morning gems and the venue of the day was orchard. cindy bought her formal top from sixty again after bringing her to this fashion. LAUGH!

anyway, i dun feel like talking to that person* any longer unless choices dun allow me to do so. perhaps i am over-sensitive but the words are full of arrows. am a person who can takes jokes and critisism but not from my-not-close-friends like *. this para sounds ambigous!

i left with 11 slot of clinic which i can see px. please sms/call me if you wish to help me with my quota. Thanks :) i still need 17 GE, 3 RGP and 3 SCL.

oh man! This is just the third day of year 3 and can start to feel the nerves tension in me. As usual, friends might think that i am still saying the same old phrase for every beginning of the new semester but i can confirm that this sem is definitely a different one.

clinic haven start proper for me yet though with the first session of counter duty. did phone calling to old patients and managed to get a good 7 patient on 6 june which makes me feel so high.

quota to meet for this sem:
at least 18 GE(general eyecheck)
3 RGP Fit (Rigid Gas Permeable lens)
4 SCL FIT(Soft Contact Lens)
1 AFTERCARE OR FOLLOW UP

gonna has case studies to work on, assignments on myopia, related contact lens topics, FYP meeting up and at the very same time having clinic duty to attend to.

officially today marked the last day of the school holiday. HAHA. i just had one week and 3 days break with the rest having attachment. compared timetable, packed those last sem notes, catching up with friends and etc have been done during this 7 weeks of break.

year 3 is gonna begins tml and believe that my workloads will be gradually increasing.

fyp, work, school stuffs, clinic duty, projects and maybe tutoring

my timetable isn't that fixed yet :(
a lot of clashes for some ppl and still in the process of solving
but there will still be some free day for me on wed and thur.
really like hectic life with everything being planned ahead :)

Hello! It's me, the hair mao. back from my outing yesterday since the time shows 1.12am.
met up with friend at tampines one. appreciated her long journey from jurong to tampines :)
dined at kim gary for lunch. took close to one hour to slower savour our wonderful food and drinks. the mushrooms with double cheese was fantastic. as usual, i love the H.K milk tea :)
combed every level of tampines one and lastly stop at the coffee bean for some drinks. hazelnut ice blended is awesome! we did analysing of timetable too.

waved to friend at mrt station and met up with ys.
ate dinner and trained down to harbour front.
took 174 to somewhere which i dunno the road name
and walked the elevated walkway to henderson wave
2.3km tho :)

love the night view :)

yestersday

picnic with my girls at botanic garden
it's was really a good day where every hours felt so fat and full of joy, indeed worth biting over and over again :)
chips, puffs,eggs,sandwiches, salads and drinks just tasted so heavenly with company of the trees and natural sounds made by the surrounding.
mind was feeling so peaceful and relaxed
camwhored a lots and lots with esther's cool cam
every expressions was being captured by the lens
* pics are uploaded to fb :)

though we are not sure of when will be the next one, we treasure the times spent together
as time passes by, we might be drifted apart unknownly but in our minds, we will always remember each other's presence yea :)

was clearing up my study room as i hate doing nothing at home
and so this gonna be my entry about my clearing up experience

those who happen to visit my house and notice that there is this corner which contains lots of cupboard containers which look dirty and cockroach-you-are-there. and YES today am clearing this area!

in total, i cleared 3 bags, cleaned 11 bags and mopped that area for dunno how many times
cleared the 2 bookshelves beside it as well
and realised that there are actually lots of fond memories discovered

the photos that we took a few years back in japan are still nicely arranged in the rikakuma photo frame which i like it a lot

the old, metal, rusty colourpencil box which is left there untouched for more than 8 years i guess is still at the same location despite the countless times of clearing up the bookshelf

the prom night 's silver sticker is still sticking at the side of the shelf

my former primary school's children day present is still lying at the bottom of the shelf. occasionally, will still bring it out for a skip :P

the 4 cvss companion books which i used to decorate using wrapping paper, plastic over and etc

the 6 Chinese books which i borrowed from jay since years back

the memorable kanski book is still there

the thick pri.eye care book is still in good condition after 6 months

brochures of manchester uni, lens products, contact lens solution are still neatly displayed in the files

and the end!

well well well, i think somehow i am getting precocious.

was recently quite busy with all meeting up, gatherings, outings and dates.

was left with my very last week and school will be starting. my 3rd year of study in optom will be a thrilling and exciting year yea :) with mainly clinical modules and fyp to handle in this last leap. took up love relation as my gems for a certain reasons and blah blah blah.

the fact of reshuffling of classes had finally printed firmly in my heart and gonna miss my former classmates. All left wonderful footprints behind and will never be forgotten. We grow, we play, we laugh, we late, we disturb as one class. though we might not be the best class or best bonded class, we still care and concern about each other. love being ya classmates for the past 2 years :)

tml shall be my last 2nd week working on sat. though will be still working on sunday, the feeling is just so different.

looking forward to meeting my girls next week :) esther, please plan faster!

sometimes life can be just so unexpected and turn out to the the least wanted way of all. beginning of year 3 dun seems to start out well and smoothly. changed classes and classmates, different stages and different timing. will be seeing new faces in practical and not the usual one. somehow will be feeling weird and strange. nevertheless, i will still be able to adapt i guess.

oversea ITP finnally come to the end and everything just ended so suddenly! irony feeling running in my mind. throughout this ITP, l learnt a lot with regardless clincial skills, communication skills and etc. AND people actually said that i am QUIET for the first time. perhaps i am learning to be?

life can be just like a coffee lover? you can choose to drink between sweet or bitter. just depend on you, the drinker!

anyway, met up with joan just now. was having a nice times sharing and chit-chatting with her. walked down the familiar kovan streets with her and the feeling was just so great. it's really a rare chance for polymates to live near each other. will rem ur 'SLEEP AT 12 AM, WOKE UP AT 12 PM AND SLEPT FOR 12 HOURS'. thanks girl for making my day a good one!

HELLO! ONCE AGAIN I AM BACK TO BLOGGING!

BASICALLY, these 2 weeks plus have been a exciting and meaningful one especially for all batamers!

we did eye screening on 1598 kids in total and have had many memorable wonderful moments spent together and bond as one. i miss that h2h sessions at night, the guys doing the cooking for the girls at night, the screening part where everyone is tired but happy to see the kids smile, suaning sessions, shopping?, 'swimming' in the pool with sp shirt, the wonderful last dinner there along the pool and etc etc.

birthday celebration with jay and co except our dearest fe/ix after the trip. thanks for the anna sui perfume that i longed to buy but i din :) love chilling at Gloria jean's with jay :)

and the week begins with clinic and is seeing real outside patients! the first 2 days was alright. managed to finish the full GE but then took like almost 2 hours. will strive for a better timing each time. i love checking hyperope patient man!

fyp grouping was out and there were lots of problems surfacing. though it's might not concern me, i still somehow being affected :( will be meeting dr zhu one week before to discuss.

visited joan at her attachment place yest, so nice to see someone familiar and close after a long period of time :) miss her lots

as for my result for this sem, i did fairly alright and reached my target. AND AND AND i got a DISTINCTION for my binocular vision! was stunned and surprised then :):)

Hello Everyone!

this gonna be my last entry before i headed back to singapore on the 21th of mar. hopefully this gonna be a long entry of those updates.

to begin with, just have had my 19th birthday yesterday and thanks those who stay up just to wish me happy birthday. a simple sms made me smile :) thanks jun yi, ye shen, jia sheng, joan, sis, esther, jayen, cindy, felix, yu han, bie hoon and many other..(according to timing)

had celebration with my family and friends:)

so what will be my 19th wishes? too lazy to think of 19 and think of 3 instead. hopefully all my wishes will come true and may god bless me!

back to oitp, have been a fun and challenging week since last week. this week, was being intro to clinic rules and regulations, procedures, etc and etc to dispensing and selling of spectacles. was a bit confused with the prices of the lens as uncle sells it at a different pricing.

did general eye(GE) examination on my team-mates. was required to complete 3 GE by tml and was left with around 1 patient to go.

intro to various machines which is requires in GE as well. the long-standing machine, humphrey, the 'too sensitive' FDT, interesting Optical coherence blah blah blah, 'air puff ' IOP, open 'window' auto ref and FUNDUS PHOTOS!

anyway, think that i was a bit weird. i love the slit-lamp checking cum test session with ms tan. it was like we were tested one technique by one technique. have to call our room number once we are done and continue with the next technique. was challenging and my heart was racing high and low. learn new way of doing van Herrick angle and conical beam.

my ret skill is still cmi:( over minus arthur by 200 degrees and was super demoralised after the refraction. on the other hands, i feel confidence after doing on jia sheng. perhaps i love doing on hyperopic patient? i also not sure. tml i going to try out sph-cyl technique to do ret if possible.

tml we going to have a trial run on GE ;(

ok lah! i shall end here and try to crack my brain juice to think of what to write in my logbook and assignment! 5 essays are still left undone :(

i survived through one week of oitp and am still alive :)
learnt bahasa indonesian language and conducted many optical tests in that language
was a fun and tedious experience and process
have to think of what to do next and what to say next

tasks were given to us everyday
and it did help to improve on our skills

aniway, congrat to those who did well for their A and for those who din, dun be too disappointed. It's not the end of the world. There will always be a way out :)

oitp started off quite relaxing and doing fine so far. we din really done much stuffs except for learning the indonesian language in those screening tests. was a fun learning and teaching process and believe that everyone will enjoy as much as i do though i was having problems pronouncing some of the words.

aniway, we were given a lot of assignments. 9 questions which consists of 5 essays and long structured questions. essays consists of like 3 700 words,1 1000 words and 1 500 words. our logbook wun be hungry for the rest of the 5 weeks:/

still thinking should i celebrate my 19th birthday or just a simple meal at home with emi cake? this year dun seem to be any special to me.

Kai Ting is back to her all time favourite online shopping despite the tight budget she is having now. and she just ordered a tote bag from taiwan spree. And this time round, she has asked her sister and jay to join as well :)

for the whole of this morning, she had made herself a healthy breakfast which include low-fat milk and toasted bread with ham and tuna. And she helped her mum to peel the raw prawn's shell and 'take' out the black intestines.

for the rest of the day, she will be going over to transfer money and nua at home :P

spectacle-recycling-ed for the whole of today and ended the session with some clearing up and stuffs. i believe everyone will be feeling so sian to spend one of the 3 days off in school doing a simple yet tedious task.

first week: we will be having pre-trip preparation with some bonding session, language learning, cover test, va taking and ret/oph skills.

second week: clinic orientation (:

third week: BATAM TRIP (: (15 MAR-21 MAR)

fourth week: SEEING REAL PATIENT @ clinic. and mine will be at west coast. it's like super far for me to travel down ):

fifth week: post-trip preparation like data entry and admin?

it's seem like i going to have a happening and exciting oitp :)

2 down and i am left to one to go. and that will officially marks the end of my exam stress and moving on to the next stage in my poly life.

i just learnt something from adult quarrelling, NEVER NEVER cry when you are in a argument, reason being if you cry, you are the loser. no one will pity you in such situation i guess. was still puzzled how two of same blood relation can end up quarreling hard with each other? they dun have feeling or emotion?

am not slacking but my mind is simply too jammed up with all the terms and pathogenesis of many different type of retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy and even glaucoma.

plus i am not that kind of people who can stay in my room for up to 3 hours non-stop mugging. eventually after an hour or so, i will move around in my house and start chit-chating with my mum.

what an unlucky day!
well, today was really a super unlucky day for me. Here go what really happened:

was quite prepared to go out and as usual take lrt to sk and change for mrt to outram. but my notes weren't properly clipped when i was trying to take out stuffs from my bag. And with the aid of the WIND, half of my bv handouts was 'flying' in the air and landed on the railway track. OMG! the scene was super paiseh and there were quite a no. of ppl. one kind soul asked me to call the person in green for help. was thinking that it will take super long for me to take back those papers and i have my exam at 2pm.

AND my head hit onto the handle on the mrt when i was walking in :(

after which everything were alright i guess. met up with joan at hougang and together with lingli, yu ting and pei yu, we went school! was quite a coincidence :) 5 people on train reading the same lecture notes :) that's pretty cool!

was almost late for the exam but then still manage to rush in time.

AC/A ratio question came out again and this time round, i got it right! after much thinking and trying out of the values from the last question.

going to spend the next 30 plus hours mugging hard for my pathology :) 88 marks, here i come!

back from jay's 19th birthday celebration with my usual clique and included wee ta and wei hong. It have been quite a pretty long time since i last seen wee ta. he seems a bit taller and more charming:) SMILES!

in the afternoon, am having DATE with fe/ix, the emo king. purely walking from dhoby and city hall, by-passing smu. it was really hilarious in a way. bought jay's birthday card from my fav. shop. i bought the one in pink and he bought the one in blue. was having fun time crapping of what to write at Burger king. am sorry girl. initially i wanted to design a birthday card board for ya but am seriously tied up with tests and many other stuffs. will make up for ya soon :)

went to Dorothy Perkins and tried dresses and top. in the end, we bought the grey dress for her and crossing finger that she will like. Personally, i like the design and cutting of the dress. it's just so simple :)

dined at shokudo:) love the style of ordering and is similar to marchie. it isn't a restaurant and rather a high-class kpt. but is nice la. so no complaints. will visit again if chances allow me to do.

knowing the truth is always not the best ever thing in life but life is just so unexpected. The least expected stuff always happen and that's life! learning how to manage emotion is the toughest of all and i will hold on. The memories in every tears i shed were over and a new chapter begins.

Upon hearing it and seeing it, i was speechless though it's within expectation. din escape and indeed i did some reflection on myself. That's my character and i will not change just because you say so. chosen not to ask you or your friends cause i believe nothing gonna make a difference.

ANOVA is making me crazy and crazier. Though the steps dun seem to be confusing, i think the tables is making me seeing DOUBLE! How i wish that the test format will be like the previous time where we get to choose our own 4 questions and etc.

Yesterday, we, the most hardworking students had our last clinical optometry 2 test. mind you that it's SATURDAY. And we were all back in school for a 1 hour test. i saw that but i din change anything knowing that my answers are wrong.

did some pbl discussion afterwhich and the library is closing at 12.30pm. 'forced' to leave the library and have to settle the problems at night.

It was quite a traumatised conversation with cindy at the later of the day. we were quite lost of what to do and what analysis to perform. dun really have the previous analysis to compare or take as reference. at last, everything can be considered solved.

stat graphics hands-on and some last minutes sorting out and matching of questions. thanks for the computed data :)

anyway, my dearest friend will be back in 2 days time and hooray! :) i miss you! ya having fun shopping-eating-shopping?

seriously i think that my brain was functioning too much during practical test and was screwed up. OMG!
i wrote the answer correctly but in the end i go and change to other.

These few days have been experiencing studying heavy and hardcore modules together and my brain is sort of jammed up. really dun like the feeling of having to study two different modules simultaneously.

was disappointed on how i did for my pathology test. the questions aren't that difficult after all. was just so unprepared :(

cl complication slide test was alright. feeling a little unbalanced throughout the whole test. thanks joan for enlightening me :) my conscious is clear. i rather did badly than having a guilty mind.

did some last minutes extra practice on yuhan after school and t115 seems to be like a mini-03 class outing again. almost everyone were there practising and some here we were like arguing about the measurement of edge width for dumb bell fluorscein pattern. Both seems to sound logical in a way.

Love feels no flaw.
distance and age dun seems to be a causative factor
love can just be so simple and sweet

chinese new year dun seems to be fun and lively as compared to last year. Everything just changed within a year. The patches made are not done as well and not even a hi-bye friend now.

hibernation stops and i am back to blogging again.

was feeling so busy for the past one week or so. lecturers chiong-ing their modules and we have loads of stuffs to complete within this week and next week. practical reports, pbl and etc stuffs to be done.

we did spectacle recycling for almost 3 days in this weeks. though the duration is not long (like 3-6hours), we were totally shagged after that. the sorting out of power and writing down is a tedious jobs. near work= convergence! But then, it's is our commitment :)

for the next few weeks or so, 10+ tests and practical tests are squeezing within 2 weeks, 3 exams in the next 2 weeks and itp starts. cui cui cui

anyway, am invented next method of teaching first time wearer to wear cl. this works for 2 customers yesterday. so i going to try on more people.

Chinese new year is just a few hours apart. wishing everyone will have a prosperous and happy new year!

it's finally weekends and time for some relaxation and enjoyment!
this week dun really went smoothly as what i wanted it to be like but not so bad also.

Thursday was practical day
fitted RGP again and do all those checking and stuffs
should be quite alright except for the estimation part which is still quite off from the lecturer
i appreciate if people do listen to instruction
i just wish to ensure that everything is done in a properly manner and not other meaning
bv practical was alright with some suppression testing

Friday was hectic and tiring
bought my lappy to school and it weighs 2.77kg
indeed train my muscles
met up with jay and co. for dinner-supper gathering at potong pasir
mj session after which
i won 3 times and am contented:)

as for today,
work and work and again work
playing around with progressive lenses
just hope to prepare well for checking of progressive lenses and the engraving during spectacle recycling
putting the spectacle downward should be the other alternative for checking the engraving beside using the fluorscein lighting

good or bad must depend on how i think i guess

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2008 was filled with up and down and fluctuating emotions throughout the whole year. Nevertheless, it wasn't a terrible year either.

went genting on feb, worked as a receptionist for quite some days, rebonded my hair and it's failed,learn to do refraction, preliminary examination,working at optical shop for experiences since july and break up in dec.

those happening stuffs made me learn to be strong and independent at times. one should not always depend on other and must depend on ourselves.

2009 gonna to be a fruitful and happy year for me.

somehow i think that i am independent man.

ate buddy meal with sis and this was my fourth time eating 2 pieces chicken for this month. Oh gosh! the amount of fats accumulating :( But i do skip to 'skip' away the FATS.

finally got a 2.90 watch from my mum as i am so not willing to get myself a watch and have been using my sis's watch for the past 3-4 months.LOL

school reopen-ing in less than 24 hours time...
a new term is gonna to be begin and there will be many changes and changes around.

handwriting was lousy and horrible as i was having terrible flu and kept ah choo-ing

back from jay's house and once again am appearing at her house after 2 weeks or so. love going to her house as it makes me safe and sound. bought my late lunch and chips over and chit chat here and there. i bet she is irritated by the facts that most of my friends are playing pet society!

you should just let go of her and give her what she want now. no point clinging on to it as there will be no difference. you are the one who hurts her at the first place, you are the one who decided to end off the relationship and you are the one who ignores her for so long despite her calling and sms-ing. i understand how you are feeling now but then 勉强是没有幸福的. no matter how much you regret now, she is already attached and nothing can be done right? just move on with ur life and tell yourself that you will not repeat the same mistake again. be strong, my friend! i know you can do it.

woke up happily in the morning is the begining of feeling happier within 10 days. i had a good rest i guess with no dream disturbing me or irritating me. except in the midst of 6am plus, i was awake by my sis who is preparing to go to work.

oh ya.. she going to put on braces and gonna cost 6k plus. i think if i am her, i wun do braces at this point of time. reason being i have too much stuffs and loan to pay and it's painful!

just have some craving for instant noodle yestersday and indeed i cook myself a bowl for my lunch. to some people, instant noodle may be unhealthy and taste horrible but somehow it's will ease ur hunger and save money as well (:

mum was nagging at my spending for this 2 weeks and to be frank, i spend like 300 plus plus. alarming and scaring right? but then this is the only way for me to be happy by indulging myself in shopping world. will stop splurging now as i need money for formal and cny clothes :(

think it's REALLY TIME for me to let go completely and not leaving any strands of missing or regretting feeling or emotion. At this point of time, i realised that cry wun help much and i have dried my lacrimal glands. Initially, i still left with some hopes for today but now i just have to smile and said today is just an ordinary day in the calendar that marks 15 December 2008. just the date and nothing else i can think of. this gonna be tough and i will make through!

decided to choose heels over sport shoe
shall go and see that pair of black heels tml and see if i can buy any cny clothes
if i din manage to get that heels, maybe i will consider getting a flat pumps instead.
both will come in handy in next year clinic

hair mao was happy at work yesterday as she did quite a lot of stuffs at work.

had a mini 6A dinner session at astons, the cathey after i knock off at 7 plus.

it's just a western restaurant and the price is really affordable. really wonder how it makes profit?

the chargrill chicken is yummy with the mashed potato.

btw, js is soo crazily in love man. He was smiling all the way throughout the whole dinner. And when we were talking about his gf, his face was like super red can.

Oh wells, this few days past like years to me. Sleepless nights and 1 meal per day is a routine for me. Must really get rid of this bad habit and move on.

i know this gonna be tough for me but i believe i can. So friends, please give me all ya supports k.

Many things happened within this 2 years from a stranger to coursemate to classmate to friend to good friend and finally to boyfriend and now everything is back to square one.

Hopefully there will be no regrets. Everything just ended so swiftly and i have totally no say to this outcome. To be honest, i felt so not respected.

cl fitting was cui and ya crossing my finger that i will pass. i forget that increase diameter of soft cl, the compensation of base curve will be 0.3mm and not 0.03 mm. OMG! i was really blur. plus the constant pain from my stomach, was in my lala land when i was doing the paper.

biostat was quite alright. i scored 21/30 for the quiz and i did 5 qns out of the 6 qns. cross tabulation and A6 were my bets of the day.

clinical optometry! Here i come to attack ya! false positive? false negative? pattern deviation? total deviation? Argh!

Oversea ITP is out and i really really want to go.

think i am getting lazier as the week passes by and dun really keep track of my blog and stuffs.

work was quite alright with nice customers around. uncle wasnt in as he went for holiday,

clinical opto practical is like OMG! internet dun really have the info for those questions and need to get books from library. Hopefully there will be books for me to make reference to or else nl will be my alternative choice.

2 more weeks to mst and gosh, i dun remember >50 percents of those stuffs i have learnt so far.
binocular vision is considered the most difficult module of the semester and am really hope to do well. will be consulting mrs tan more often then.

have been sick...for the past few days and still i din go and see doctor.
stubborn and dun listen to others are my shortcoming in life.
the sickness is like very hard to describe as sometime it will be super pain and other time it will be like normal.

time flies and this following week will be the 4th week of school.
2 open book tests are on Tuesday and Friday respectively.
energy level is like deteriorating and no signs of improvement.

work was horrible and tiring.
horrible in the sense that people or rather customers dun trust the words i said.
one particular customer came and said she want to make spectacle.
her record shows that she has high astigmatism of 3 diopters.
i told her not to choose half frame due to cosmetic reason and she ignored me.
in the end, she dun wish to pay 250 bucks for a half frame and have to choose the frame again. this time round, no choice but to choose a full frame.
in addition, i also got a chance to explain to her why her lens need to be this particular price and yet she dun believe me again.

really dun understand why she dun wan to take my words at the very beginning and at the later part.
i may not be an optometrist now but i do have the knowledge.
sometimes i really dunlike this kind of customers. Argh!

oh wells, short day and did visual field test. my result isnt normal with many defects even at central 30 degrees. gonna do again on monday morning. confrontation field test seems easy by reading the manual but requires skills and technique.

went to sakae for sushi session with cindy after the practical and we ate 12 plates in total. nice unagi and soft shell crab :) eating nice food makes me a happy girl.

roamed around marine square to digest our food and having fun talking sensitive topics.

left to vivo's gloria jean's for some coffee session while waiting for dar to off from work. tried "mugging" alone at cafe as well. pretty good experience with nice and comfortable ambience though isnt the first visit there. chocolate macadamia latte is great! worth trying for :)

As for this year's christmas, i wanted my rika bear...

It's finally the end of the week and long weekend ahead. Something to be happy about and so i gonna to plan and make good use of it.

Facial was horrible and painful. My dead cells and debris were being 'poked out' and face was super red when i was done after 3 long and tiring hours.

As for today, lectures din really go well. was lagging behind for visual field and binocular. Thanks Cindy and Dar for explaining to me some of the concepts.

Tml gonna get my transition spectacle. COOL!

School days are all the same except for going out after school. As usual, went out with dar after biostat yesterday.

Bugis-ed and ate at seafood harvest. ordered student meal which is like so worth it and PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT WE ARE NOT AUNT AND UNCLE YET. Eating student meal will allow us to save up more and we should enjoy the privilege when we are still schooling.

Random stuff again.
I dun like biostat lesson especially when she is asking people to answer. will feel that i am stupid when i din able to answer her questions. *Crossing my fingers that i will do well despite the fear i have for every single lesson.*

My tutee improved and scored quite well for the 2 end year papers. 3 cheers for her.

It have been a long long time since i last blogged. perhaps i am used to blogging everyday during the holiday and now i just blog once a few days.

Busy week has just passed with numerous practicals, lectures and tutorials.

Pracitical was fun for contact lenses fitting. Fitting lenses into classmate's eyes and removal of lenses too.

Btw, my tutee passed his science and i savored this great sense of acopmlishment.

GEMS is like so different as compared to the previous gems that i had taken. This gems teacher is not those lecturers who will slack and let us go earlier. The contents gonna be fun i hope with those different calendars thingy.

just went to harbour city restaurant for dar's dad brithday dinner and it's BUFFET. Meaning i got to gain more weight though i just lose 2 kg. Feeling guilty and fat after dinner. AND with jay's handmade cheese cake, the calories level comfirm rises to the maximum :(

school was so-so and isnt very used to the new time table and those new modules that i am taking right now.
Again, this semester is not gonna be easy with 2 practical modules, 1 practical-based modules and 4 other modules. LOL! i know i said this last semester but the fact is that i am just an average student who just want to study well and pass well. i dun have very smart brain though i have fantastic imagination.

Btw, am the class rep for my class(DOPT/FT/2B/03). dr zhu chooses me and have to accept it. hopefully i will do my best as a class rep and my left-hand man will be there to aid me if i need any.

PS: my primary school friend is now MARRIED! Thanks hoon for the info and makes me stay awake. IT'S SHOCKING!

time really flies and it have been 6 years since i last sang mirai. ms thong added me in facebook and has wrote a message for 6A/2002. It's indeed touching to see the message and she still remember that she wanted us to sang this Japanese song. that time, we were still primary 6 and 12 years old. able to memorise and sing out the whole song was indeed a feat for us. HAHA! Many memorises still like yesterday to me. the chalet we went together during holiday, the computer lab lesson, playing basketball all day after PSLE and etc.

first day of school and my class's fund is left with 2.55 bucks. spent 182.75bucks just on bino notes. And contact lens complication notes has just sent for printing. think gonna to cost us a bomb when we gonna collect.

tuition was cui. my tutee din do my homework like AGAIN and she was like falling asleep sooner or later. the most critical part is that she dun do the way i teach for correction. in addition, her dad teaches her also.

off to teach my mei math. so worrying ):

was like expecting the lecture notes to be thick but this time is really too much and was stunned when i saw it. still remember that there are 394 slides for intro to contact lenses last sem. and now, the max slide increases to 482 slides!

today shall mark the official last day of holiday for year 2.1. Slept till the sun is scorching hot in the noon. And have a lit headache after waking up. maybe i really sleep too much like 13 hours or so.

went to uob to apply for a tx account and got my atm card. the now card will be sent to me 2 weeks later and i will be enjoying some dining privileges then.

went home after which and feeling sleepy again :(
